Chicago Bike Share – Divvy Bikes

Starting mid-June 2013 Chicago will finally be getting a bike-share program: Divvy.  For guests, consider a $7 one day pass as a great way to visit the city – 30 minutes at a time.  You are allowed to use the bike for 24 hours but just in 30 minute increments at a time – so think of it as a way of getting from A to B to C.  There are lots of docking stations downtown and near major sights.  You are not allowed to keep the bike all day without incurring additional charges see “Pricing” on their website for details.   The closest DIVVY station is on Division, just on the south side of the CVS across from the Polish Triangle, just 1.5 blocks from the House of Two Urns.

If you wish to rent a bicycle for all day enjoyment, you can do so at Navy Pier or Millennium Park Bike Station.  Rates are around $35/day.   For more information go to: http://www.divvybikes.com/
