The Art Institute of Chicago opens daily at 10:30 am; so start your day early by taking the #56 Milwaukee bus (1.5 blocks from Two Urns) to the last stop and get off in front just past State Street and 1/2 block before the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park. Explore the free art exhibits at the Cultural Center (Opens daily at 9 am); then walk through Millennium Park and capture your own artistic views of the city reflected in Anish Kapoor’s popular Cloudgate sculpture aka “The Bean” or spend a little time at the Crown Fountain – what other city in the world lets you play in their fountains?
Then walk across the Renzo Piano bridge to the new modern wing of the Art Institute. We still sell the discounted VIP passes that gets you past any long lines and into any special exhibits – currently $23 -regular adult admission is $25.
